Fleet
Reef Runner Sailing
utilizes a
variety of vessels in its fleet. Each vessel is matched to the
specific itinerary and requirements of the particular crew, course, or activity. Vessels are
normally fully equipped monohulls in the 22 to 50 feet range. If you have
specific requirements such as sail inventory or accommodations, please let us
know.
Here are some of our vessels. Click on
each picture for an enlarged view.
Primera, a Catalina 22' is a great boat on which to learn to sail.
Combining convenience in its ability to be
trailered with its open water performance, it is an excellent choice for the
sailor looking for a vessel to sail both coastal and inland waters. It is roomy
enough for several people and is shallow water friendly allowing its crew access
to many shorelines out of reach to deeper draft vessels. An excellent yacht
from which to teach given its sail plan and light air performance.

Miss Lya
is a beautiful classic O'Day 27'. She is one of the best designed sailboats for
teaching purposes utilizing a typical sail inventory, tiller steering, outboard
motor propulsion and comfortable sleeping space for 2-4 persons. Forgiving yet
responsive, Miss Lya is one of our primary teaching boats.

Kaya is a beautiful 41’ Morgan Out Island ketch built for comfort
and sails like a dream. She’s a perfect combination of shallow
draft, large sail plan, and roominess that will allow students and
cruisers to both learn and enjoy sailing during a multi day adventure on
the waters around the Keys.

Fair Trades, a 50’ sloop
rigged Beneteau yacht, cut her eye teeth plying the waters of the beautiful
British Virgin Islands. Her roomy interior and expansive decks makes her an
ideal yacht for 2-3 couples wishing to experience offshore sailing, or for
groups up to 12 to experience day sailing along our Emerald Coast.

Backwash
is a sturdy and fast, newly designed bay boat by CapeHorn. She is the chase
boat of the fleet allowing quick response from shore to any sailboat in the
fleet requiring on the water support or assistance. Backwash is also
offered as a fishing guide boat in local waters should a student wish to mix a
sailing and fishing experience during a trip to the Gulf Coast.
