 Fleet

Reef Runner Sailing utilizes a variety of vessels in its fleet.  Each vessel is matched to the specific itinerary and requirements of the particular crew, course, or activity.  Vessels are normally fully equipped monohulls in the 21 to 50 feet range.  If you have specific requirements such as sail inventory or accommodations, please let us know.

Here are a few of our vessels.  Click on each picture for an enlarged view.

21' San Juan, Long Time Gone

Long Time Gone, a San Juan 21, has been a favorite of small boat sailors for a number of years. She is safe and very responsive in a variety of wind directions and weather conditions. An excellent sailboat on which to learn the basics of sailing and experience the thrill of a quick and responsive hull design. Classes on the San Juan will be limited to two students and an instructor.

25' Catalina, Free TimeFree Time, a Catalina 25, is one of the most popular and respected models made. Combining convenience in its ability to be trailered with its open water performance, it is an excellent choice for the sailor looking for a vessel to sail both coastal and inland waters.  It is roomy enough for several people and is shallow water friendly allowing its crew access to many shorelines out of reach to deeper draft vessels.  An excellent yacht from which to teach given its sail plan and light air performance.

27' O'day, Miss Lya

Miss Lya is a beautiful classic O'Day 27.  She is one of the best designed sailboats for teaching purposes utilizing a typical sail inventory, tiller steering, outboard motor propulsion and comfortable sleeping space for 2-4 persons.  Forgiving yet responsive, Miss Lya is one of our primary teaching boats.

28' Morgan Out Island, Island Dream

Island Dream, a Morgan Out Island 28' is an outstanding, diesel engine driven, sailing sloop, with more room than you would expect.  Morgan workmanship and quality are evident throughout.  It is the perfect boat for a relaxing sail in our Florida waters.

34' Island Packet, Never Land

Never Land, an Island Packet 34' yacht is a cruising classic.  It offers a traditional design, quality construction, and excellent control with spirited performance.  Her large interior and many features are usually only found in much larger yachts.  An excellent yacht on which to teach upper level sailing courses.

50' Beneteau, Fair Trades

Fair Trades, a 50’ sloop rigged Beneteau yacht, cut her eye teeth plying the waters of the beautiful British Virgin Islands.  Her roomy interior and expansive decks makes her an ideal yacht for 2-3 couples wishing to experience offshore sailing, or for groups up to 12 to experience day sailing along our Emerald Coast.

          Chase boat, Backwash

Backwash is a sturdy and fast, newly designed bay boat by CapeHorn.  She is the chase boat of the fleet allowing quick response from shore to any sailboat in the fleet requiring on the water support or assistance.   Backwash is also offered as a fishing guide boat in local waters should a student wish to mix a sailing and fishing experience during a trip to the Gulf Coast.
