How would you like to have regular use of
a sailboat without being responsible for the purchase price, maintenance
costs, slip fees, and man hours needed to keep it running smoothly? We
know how expensive boat ownership can be, especially if you don't have the
opportunity to sail every weekend. Therefore, we have designed a
program to allow you to share the use of sailboats with other like-minded
sailors for less than the cost of a slip.
Reef Runner Sailing is excited to offer a limited number of memberships in a program called SailShare. It is a great way to sail more frequently, at an attractive cost, without having to purchase and maintain your own sailboat. Think of it as almost a timeshare program for a sailboat. The number of memberships will be limited to guarantee the boats are taken care of and that everyone will have more than enough opportunity to go sailing.
With an annual or six month membership, SailShare members will be able to sail as often as they want each month for less than the monthly cost of a slip. Members will be required to have their 101 and 103 ASA certification to join. Sailboats will initially be available for day sails only and must be reserved in advance. Members using a boat for the first time will be checked out with an instructor at no additional charge. What a great way to improve your skills, become familiar with different types of boats, or just enjoy the water without all the fuss and expense of personal boat upkeep and maintenance.
