Friendship harbor is located in the heart of midcoast Maine. It is a small, quaint working waterfront, home to commercial lobstermen. Located just 25 miles from iconic Camden and 70 miles from Maine's largest city, Portland, Friendship is in the ideal location to provide all you'd want to see in Maine without the crowds.
The summer months in midcoast Maine can be pleasant warm temperatures during the day, and there is always a sea breeze. Plan to layer up on your sail as Maine weather is notoriously unpredictable. The prevailing south-southwest winds that blow up the Gulf Stream during the summer provide for consistent winds and full sails. In just minutes you'll be surrounded by small Maine islands, beautiful rocky coast line, and miles of Atlantic ocean.

What you'll do
You'll join us at the Friendship town dock where you'll hop aboard a small boat to take you to S/V Shearwater awaiting at anchor. Set sail into Muscongus Bay for an evening of sailing and sunsets. Captain Jeremy will be your guide as you travel past small Maine islands and meet lobster boats headed in from a days work. Enjoy the views of the golden sunset from the cabin top.

What you'll do
Take a sailboat tour around Muscongus Bay to see a unique perspective of local lighthouse(s): from the water on a sailboat. Our boat is a classic Pearson 10M, leaving the working lobster wharf from Friendship Maine. You'll get a tour of Muscongus Bay as we make our way out to Franklin Lighthouse or even Eastern Egg Rock. It all depends on where the wind will take us!

Directions from Harbor Rd Parking:​
Please park at the town Cemetery on S. Harbor Cemetery Rd. From the cemetery, it's a short 0.3 mile walk to the dock. Walk out towards Harbor Rd and take a left and then right onto Townlanding Rd. Head all the way to the end of Townlanding Rd, directly onto the wharf. We'll be waiting at the floating dock to take you to our sailboat.
